すずがみ (13×13) ｜シマタニ昇龍工房

「すずがみ」は、明治42年創業以来、富山県高岡市で寺院用のおりんを専門に製造しているシマタニ昇龍工房のオリジナル商品です。
「おりん」を金づちで叩いて製造するという技術を持つ職人は全国にも10人に満たない中、その技を継承しようと、「高岡らしく、鍛金職人らしく、そして生活の中で使うことのできる新しいプロダクトを作る」ことを目指して、「すずがみ」シリーズが誕生しました。
その名の通り、紙のように薄くて自由に曲げることのできる新しい錫商品の提案です。圧延された錫の板を繰り返し金鎚で叩くことで、模様を付けるだけではなく、繰り返し曲げることに耐えられる強さを備え付ける、鍛金職人ならではの商品となりました。
金属なのにスーッと自由に曲がる、すずがみの新しい感覚をお楽しみください。

13×13は、取り皿として使用したり、和菓子屋小さなお料理をのせるのに丁度よく、テーブルシーン以外でも様々な使い方が出来る大きさです。

シマタニ昇龍工房

江戸後期から脈々と続く鏧子（けいす）職人の家で育った初代和吉が、明治42年創業し、鏧子作り一筋、一子相伝により仏教伝来の伝統技法を今に伝えている富山県高岡市にある工房です。当工房は、全国に10人に満たない「おりん職人」が3人おり、「金鎚で叩く」ことにより板を絞り、丸みを整え、音を調律することでおりんを制作しています。この「金鎚で叩く」技術により生まれてくる新しいアイテムを提案する自社ブランド「syouryu」も展開しています。
